Industries · Masonry & Plaster

Blocks, plaster, labour — every metre on paper before the first block is laid.

Masonry gets priced by the day and paid by the argument. InstaJack prices it by the square metre, from your book — block work, plaster and screed as separate lines the client approves before your crew mixes anything.

Your starter price book

Masonry & Plaster, ready-priced. Then made yours.

Open InstaJack and this book is already there — the jobs masonry & plaster firms quote every week, at starter prices. Copy them, change every number, add your own. The starter prices below are exactly what the app starts with.

Block work wall
Block size: 4 inch · 6 inch · 8 inch
Plastering
Interlock paving
Floor screed

Starter prices are InstaJack's built-in defaults — a starting line, not a market rate. Your prices, your specs, your words replace them the moment you edit the book.

Sound familiar?

The Masonry & Plaster week, minus the worst parts.

The pain

Paid by the day, so every day is a dispute

Day rates reward slowness and punish speed — and the client watches the clock instead of the wall going up.

The answer · Core · Free

Quote per square metre from your book: block work at your rate, plastering at yours. The price is for the wall, not the hours — approved before the first block is laid.

The pain

“One more partition while the mixer is here”

Extra walls go up on a handshake and come down to a negotiation at the gate.

The answer · Claim Pack

The extra partition is a variation — measured, priced, approved on the client’s phone before it’s built. Approved work gets paid; the rest is a favour you choose, not one you’re trapped in.

The pain

Cement and blocks on your account

Materials bought on your supplier account for a job whose deposit hasn’t landed yet — your cash holding up someone else’s wall.

The answer · Core · Free

Ask for the deposit on the quote itself, and let each quote’s buying list — blocks, cement, sand — drive one materials run instead of four.

How it works

Four steps. No office. No paperwork.

  1. 1.0

    Build the quote

Tap “Block work wall”, set the square metres, pick the block size. Your rates are already in the book.

  2. 2.0

One tap sends a clean quote link from your own WhatsApp — the app your customers already answer.

  3. 3.0

    Client approves the link

They read a proper quote — lines, VAT, total — and tap Approve. You see it the second it happens.

  4. 4.0

    Invoice & get paid

The approved quote becomes the invoice, your bank details on it. Nothing is ever typed twice.

Masonry & Plaster questions

Asked on site, answered straight.

Can block size go on the quote?+

Yes — 4, 6 or 8 inch sits on the job as a spec and prints on the quote, so the wall that gets approved is the wall that gets built.

I do a lot of small repair patches. Does it fit?+

Yes — plastering and screed are per-metre jobs in your book, and you can add a minimum call-out or patch job at your own price for the small work.

Subcontractors measure differently. Who wins?+

The approved quote wins. Your metres and rates sit on a document the client approved before work started — that’s the number variations and claims are measured against.

Can I claim in stages on a full villa?+

With the Claim Pack, yes — progress claims against the approved contract value, with retention tracked and its release chased in your work list.

Block and plaster are half the wall — masonry shares most jobs with Tiling & Flooring, Wood & Vinyl Flooring and Gypsum & Ceilings, each opening InstaJack with its own starter price book.
